Upstate Livestrong will hold a "Pick and Paddle/Poker Paddle" event to benefit local cancer fighters. 

To be held at The Grill Man, formerly Friends at the Cove (1500 Providence Church Road Anderson, SC) 

     "Pick and Paddle event." *Registration/Check-In opens at 9:00am

      Beneficiary: Livestrong Upstate for local cancer fighters.

$30 Registration for single kayak/canoe includes event tee

$55 Registration for double kayak/canoe includes event tees for both paddlers 

*Children free unless age of 12 and participating in the Pick and Paddle/ in case, standard registration applies and includes event tee.

*Palmetto Conservation will rent kayaks to those who come and want to play the game but do not have a vessel to paddle for a $5.00 charge.

Leisure paddle (not a race) with 5 stops to pick a card.

($5.00 donation for card exchange at Judge's table)

50/50 Raffle $10.00 a ticket - winner receives half the pot/charity the other half

Best hand - wins an 'Old Town'  kayak (including paddle and universal vest).

"Outdoor" prizes 

Boxed lunches available by the The Grill Man. 

DJ Music throughout event.

Picnic style event: You'll want to bring your blanket/chairs, sunscreen, something to paddle if you plan to play the game....the usual picnic spread.

Please include your name, address, phone and tee shirt size and if you will paddling single or double and would be renting a vessel. 

You will also be able to register on the day of the event at location, however I would strongly suggest registering before hand to ensure your tee shirt, etc. Registration/Check In table opens at 9:00AM.

When you check-in as a registered paddler or register to paddle, you will receive your event tee shirt, a ziplock baggie which will include the game course and score card. 

Be sure you have signed a release form before launching.

We will have a boat escort available if anyone needs to exit the water for any reason.

MedShore and a First Responder will be on the water in case of any 911's which we do not expect to have.

All registraion fees will need to be in via PayPal through Eventbrite or via snail mail to PO Box 3868, Anderson, SC 29622 no later than September 21st.

The event is a fundraiser to benefit cancer fighters in our region. If there are unseen circumstances as there have been in the past or inclement weather that is out of our control, we still have need of these funds for cancer fighers in our community. 

We will do our best to assure the success of this event.

This will be the fourth annual Poker Paddle but the first to be held at The Grill Man. 

You will be able to register on the day of the event but we will not be able to asure you a vessel so you would want to bring your own. We would also not be able to asure you an event tee if you do not pre-register. 

Come prepared to paddle and bring your luck with you.
